Mechanism of Modified Ether Amine Agents in Petalite and Quartz Flotation Systems under Weak Alkaline Conditions

To investigate the flotation separation behavior of petalite and quartz, various methods were employed in this study. These included micro-flotation experiments, a contact angle analysis, zeta potential Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray photoelectron (XPS) to explore mechanism modified ether amine reagent (L0-503) for quartz under weakly alkaline conditions. The test results indicated that collector had higher collecting ability than petalite, with maximum recovery rate 93.2% consistently below 14% presence L0-503. This indicates can be used as reverse agent separating quartz. showed significantly adsorption capacity due strong reaction between secondary (-NH=) on collector. Additionally, electrostatic force hydrogen bonding further enhanced adsorption, while no occurred petalite.
